SCRIBLOG X - 11072007 - 212726
Hello my fellow bloggends,
I am back. I went soul searching and peace hunting. Chasing the answer as to why we arent successful as most intelligent beings on planet earth. It would probably have been an endless journey, but that supernatural power which guides us from all corners of the universe had ordained otherwise.
I left Delhi to visit Dharmashala, the idea being to spend a few days there at Mcleodganj, the abode of His Holiness The Dalai Lama. Then I was to move on. However, just before reaching Dharmashala, I had a severe pain on the neck and my eyes burnt like amber. I had to stop my trusted bike and lie back on the wayside, my wife was visibly worried. After a long break, I drove again, only to be in Dharmashala with a temparature of about 103. I knew I have a problem at hand!
However, this situation turned out to be a boon in disguise. And I met the person you see here in the photograph. Look at this man. He does not have a bank account. Yet he is the richest person in the entire world. His presence oozed eternal peace. He was wisdom and compassion incarnate. When he stopped to speak with people amidst such airtight security cordon, it was as if he knew the person from time immemorial. For once I forgot to click him when he was so near, so picture perfect, at that very moment my head went down and bowed to him. The very next moment he was so far away.
He sat down to teach the language of peace, the language of Tibetan way of life and his energy was seen to be believed. He never flinched from his seat below the Buddha, yet he connected to every individual, almost 10000 of them.
I found my answer. Work for the cause which is dearest to you. You may have to shed of all worldly relations, but you cannot shed the world away. You are very much a part of it. Self containment is the key - the naked arrival into this world and the naked departure is to be kept reminded to oneself every morning and night. His Holiness resembled the Deity my entire family worships - Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi.
Each individual will make an individual difference to the way the world thinks and moves, and all the individual roads will lead to that same God, and if you are a non believer, to Shangri-La.
God Bless Us All.
